French OD 'Ike' Jackets
Recommended for kids and women, these stylish (but either shrunken or intentionally small) Ike jackets are France's take on the classic cut, first requested to be designed by Dwight D. Eisenhower late in WWII, it became popular for its short torso cut, making driving and reaching for a sidearm much easier, but also has become popular as a precursor of cropped Jackets among female fashion which can STILL be found today, about 70 years later.
These have a rougher wool, Washing or sewing in a finer lining may be worth it to those who'd like to wear this most comfortably.
